Steeking Workshop

Steeking is a shortcut used to knit garments such as sweaters in the round without interruption for openings or until the end.

Using the pattern, Nordic Bloom by Caitlin Hunter, This class will introduce you to different methods of steeking (crochet, sewn steek, and felted) and some do’s and don’ts to avoid unfortunate situations. By the end of the class, the goal is to complete the vast as a lovely steeked Cardigan.

Steeking Workshop, 2- day workshop, Adventurous beginner +

Skills required: Knit, purl, two color colorwork

2 Saturdays, October 3rd + 31st 1-3 pm. in the shop with Giavanna.

Homework:

Please come with your sweater cast on and the ribbing completed. The first session will focus on setting up your steek stitches and review best practices for knitting in the round when you intend to steek.
